Full club rules and safety information

Why We Have Rules at DECADANCE ❤️

At DECADANCE Swingers Club, everyone should feel welcome, relaxed and free to enjoy themselves in a safe, friendly and respectful environment. Whether you’re visiting for the first time or returning as a regular, your comfort, safety and enjoyment are our priority.

As a smaller club, we have the advantage of creating a more personal, welcoming atmosphere where people can get to know one another and feel part of the DECADANCE community. Our staff are approachable and attentive, and our customers often look out for each other too. That sense of connection helps us maintain a friendly environment where everyone can feel comfortable, supported and respected.

Our comprehensive rules reflect how seriously we take that responsibility. They are not based on a history of problems; they are designed to help prevent them and ensure a positive experience for everyone. They also help our staff and customers work together to maintain the relaxed, respectful atmosphere that makes a smaller club special.

Most of our guidelines come down to common sense and courtesy: respect personal boundaries, seek clear consent, protect privacy, and treat every guest with kindness and respect. If you see someone who may need help, or notice something that doesn’t feel right, please speak to a member of staff. Looking after each other is an important part of the DECADANCE experience.

Our goal is not to limit your fun, but to create an atmosphere where everyone feels comfortable, confident and free to enjoy the experience.

Respect the rules, respect each other, and most importantly, have fun! ❤️

Respect. Consent. Communication. Enjoyment.

Whether you are an experienced visitor to the lifestyle, exploring BDSM and kink, or visiting a swingers club for the first time, we want you to feel welcome, comfortable and safe.

Some guests visit to socialise, meet new people and enjoy the atmosphere. Others may choose to explore intimacy or play with people they connect with. Both are equally welcome.

These rules are here to protect our guests, our staff and our venue. We ask everyone to use common sense, respect one another and take responsibility for their own behaviour.

By entering Decadance, you agree to follow these rules and any reasonable instructions given by our staff.

You should be fully aware that as a sex positive and body positive club you may hear explicit adult conversation, see male and/or female nudity, and may witness explicit sexual activity between consenting adults. If any of this offends you please do not come to the club.

1. Respect, consent and personal boundaries

Consent is essential. No exceptions.

Never assume that someone wants to be touched, kissed, approached sexually or involved in play or a scene.

Always obtain clear consent before initiating physical or sexual contact.

Consent must be freely given, informed and specific to the activity. Consent to one thing does not mean consent to everything.

Anyone can change their mind or withdraw consent at any time. Stop immediately if someone withdraws consent, asks you to stop or appears uncomfortable.

Silence, uncertainty, nervous laughter or a lack of resistance must never be treated as consent.

Being naked, flirting, dancing, using the playrooms or attending a swingers club does not mean someone is available for sexual contact.

Respect personal space. Ask before touching someone, even if you believe the contact is friendly.

If someone declines an invitation or says no, accept their answer gracefully. Do not pressure them, repeatedly ask, follow them around or attempt to change their mind.

Consent applies equally to all guests, and staff.

Paying an entry fee does not entitle anyone to another person's attention, affection or sexual activity. Sex is never guaranteed or expected.

Decadance promotes safe protected play. We provide free condoms. It is solely up to consenting adults whether they use condoms but where condom use has been agreed on and consented to, anyone removing the condom without the knowledge or consent of a sexual partner and having sex or continuing sex with them is rape.

There is an element of risk of passing sexually transmitted infections when you take part in sexual activity. There is also possibility of pregnancy with some activities. This risk increases significantly if condoms aren't use and with more people involved. Customers partaking in sexual activity are responsible for assessing and accepting the possible risk, and should not partake if they are not comfortable. Decadance cannot be held responsible for any STDs, STIs or pregnancies.

Masterbation/solo play whether by a man or a woman is a natural act and is not forbidden in the club, however must not happen in the bar area (due to licencing restrictions) or on the outdoor balcony. You should be aware that not everyone wants to watch you and you should not do this in a way that others are forced to watch. You should definitely not stare at others you've not spoken to or are not sure want to watch whilst engaged in solo play or make others feel uncomfortable. Ideally please use a playroom or the viewing room if free if you want to be watched by those who are happy to watch you. Some other clubs are renowned for a 'wanking dead' culture where single men follow ladies and couples (who they've not bothered to talk to) around masterbating under towels and make them feel uncomfortable. This is not acceptable at Decadance but we also want strike a balance that masterbation/solo play is neither shameful or wrong. Please ensure you clean up and sanitise after yourself.

2. Respecting private play and other guests

Do not interrupt, touch, join or interfere with a scene unless you have been invited and the people involved have agreed.

Do not assume that watching a scene is acceptable simply because a room is accessible. Respect any privacy arrangements and the wishes of those playing.

If you wish to watch, ask permission where appropriate and respect the answer.

Do not crowd people who are playing, make unwanted comments or attempt to direct someone else's scene.

Respect aftercare. People may need time, privacy and space following a scene. Do not interrupt or pressure them to move unless there is an immediate safety concern.

Do not follow guests between rooms or repeatedly approach someone who has made it clear they want to be left alone.

Do not discriminate against, intimidate, harass or deliberately embarrass another guest because of their gender, sexuality, identity, appearance, disability, experience or personal preferences.

If you are unsure whether your presence or behaviour is welcome, ask or give people space.

3. Photography, phones and privacy

Discretion is important to our guests.

Mobile phones and recording devices must be used in accordance with Decadance's phone and privacy policy detailed below.

Phone and Photography policy

Photography, video recording, audio recording and livestreaming of guests or staff are prohibited unless expressly authorised by the club management and everyone affected has given informed permission. Usually a member of staff will have to supervise such activity or it take place in a private room.

You must not photograph or record another person without their permission, even if you believe they are outside the frame or cannot be identified.

Phones and other recording equipment should usually be kept in lockers or well away in bags or pockets. Phones may be used on the outdoor balcony for voice calls (not video calls) and messaging only. Cameras, videocameras or voice recording must not be used.

Spy glasses, body cameras and any form of concealed cameras or recording devices must not be brought into the club. For the avoidance of doubt Decadance is not a public space and there is no right to photograph, video or voice record. There is a legal reasonable expectation of privacy in a swingers club (whether or not in a private room), the same as in a private hotel room or toilet. Photography or recording covertly or without permission will be treated as unwanted voyerism. Under the sexual offences act 2003, this can lead to a maximum 2 years in prison, a heavy fine and being placed on the sex offenders register.

Do not share another guest's identity, images, contact details or private information without their permission.

Do not disclose who you have seen at Decadance or discuss another guest's private activities outside the club without their permission.

Do not use another person's contact details for unsolicited messages or unwanted advances.

If you have a concern or need to contact the club, please use the club's official contact channels rather than sharing private staff contact details.

4. Alcohol, drugs, smoking and responsible behaviour

Guests must not arrive in anyway under the influence of illegal drugs. Nor should they be under the influence alcohol to the extent that they are intoxicated or unable to participate safely or likely to spoil other guests enjoyment. Alcohol affects everyone differently but as a rough guide 1or 2 drinks is fine.

Illegal drugs and other prohibited substances are not permitted on the premises.

Only drinks purchased from the Decadance bar may be consumed in the club.

Staff may refuse alcohol service, stop an activity or require a guest to leave if their behaviour or condition creates a safety concern.

Do not initiate or continue sexual activity or a BDSM scene with someone who is too intoxicated, impaired or otherwise unable to give informed consent.

Alcohol is never an excuse for harassment, unwanted contact, aggression or other misconduct.

If you are unsure whether someone is comfortable or able to consent, stop and seek assistance from a member of staff.

Guests are expected to remain responsible for their behaviour throughout their visit.

Smoking is not allowed anywhere inside the club. The outside covered balcony may be used for smoking. Do not smoke in the indoor social area leading out to the balcony or stand in the doorway. Ideally please move away from the door to the far side of the balcony.

Vaping is allowed throughout the club except in the sauna area for safety reasons.

5. Playrooms and shared facilities

We have a range of facilities for guests to enjoy. Please use them responsibly and respect the needs of others.

Where a playroom door is left open, dressed down customers may watch what is going on inside from outside the room or from the floor area unless anyone in the room objects. To enter the bed or for any contact or sexual activity, you need express consent of those involved. Those already in the room may ask you leave at any time without giving a reason. This should be done immediately without question or debate.

Where a playroom door is closed (regardless of whether it is locked or not) do not knock, do not enter, do not hang around outside, unless you have specifically been given permission to enter or have left the room temporarely (for example to use the toilet). If in doubt do not enter or knock, speak to staff.

Keep playrooms clean and hygienic. Dispose of rubbish in the appropriate bins and clean and sanitise after use.

Cleaning products are provided in designated play areas. Please clean the equipment and surfaces you have used and leave the space ready for the next guests. If you enter a playroom and it hasn't been left clean please inform staff).

Do not leave bodily fluids, used condoms (or wrappers) or other waste for another guest or member of staff to clear up.

Respect the venue and its equipment. Do not use furniture, fixtures or anchor points for activities they are not designed or approved to support.

On the outdoor balcony, do not stand on seats, do not lean over railings, do not climb on the roof structure, do not draw attention to yourself or the club from neighbours or others on the street or in vehicles. The balcony is screened and with normal use is discreet and you would not usually be seen from the street. However we ask that you are not naked that you can be seen from a vehicle (including double deck buses) or the street. Please do not engage in sexual activity on the balcony.

Ask management for permission before undertaking activities that could damage the venue or require special arrangements.

Do not use a play space to store personal belongings or occupy it for extended socialising when other guests need the space.

Allow people to complete their play/scenes and aftercare without unnecessary interruption.

Do not lock playroom doors or otherwise prevent staff from accessing an area when access is required for safety. Do not close the door in the playroom where the sauna is. Sauna access is available to all customers and staff also need to be able to access at all times. Whilst this is not a private room, customers should not go on the bed area when others are on there without the permission of those already using the area.

Follow all posted instructions and any additional restrictions applying to specific rooms or equipment.

Report damaged equipment, missing cleaning supplies or any other safety concern to a member of staff.

Agree on protection and boundaries before sexual activity begins. Communication is key.

Never remove, damage or interfere with a condom or other agreed protective measure without the informed agreement of everyone involved.

Stop immediately if an agreed boundary or protection arrangement is breached.

Do not participate in activities that you believe put yourself or others at unacceptable risk.

Dispose of used condoms and other protective materials hygienically.

Seek assistance from staff immediately if you have a safety concern or need help.

8. Looking after one another

We want guests to feel able to ask for help without embarrassment or fear of being dismissed.

If someone makes you uncomfortable, you can say no, move away or ask a member of staff for support.

Report unwanted attention, harassment, suspected non consensual activity, unsafe behaviour or other concerns to staff as soon as possible.

You do not need to confront the person involved yourself.

If you witness something concerning, please report it rather than assuming somebody else will.

Staff may speak to the people involved, separate guests, stop a scene or take other appropriate action to protect everyone's safety.

Reports will be taken seriously and handled discreetly where reasonably possible.

Do not attempt to bypass a staff decision by asking another member of the team for permission to do something that has already been refused. Management will determine the appropriate decision.

10. Entry, safety and enforcement

Decadance reserves the right to refuse entry, stop an activity, remove a guest from the premises or exclude them from future visits where appropriate.

Depending on the seriousness of the incident, action may include:

A reminder or warning for a minor issue.

Immediate intervention to stop unsafe or inappropriate behaviour.

Removal from the premises for serious or repeated breaches.

A ban from future visits where justified.

Contacting the police or other appropriate authorities where necessary.

Serious breaches of consent, harassment, violence, deliberate safety violations or other significant misconduct may result in immediate removal without a prior warning and police involvement. Breaches of consent and photography or filming covertly or without permission may be deemed as criminal offences that involve inprisonment and you placed on the sex offenders register. Just because you are in a swingers club does not make you exempt from any laws and we will push for the harshest penalties for offenders.

Any breach that involves illegal drugs including buying, selling, being in possession of, or using illegal drugs in the club, will automatically result in a lifetime ban from the club and the police being informed. For the avoidence of doubt cannabis is an illegal drug. The club reserve the right to search and person entering the club or bag brought into the club.

The decision on appropriate action rests with the club's management, taking account of the circumstances and the safety of those involved.

Whether paying an entry fee or not it does not give anyone the right to disregard these rules or refuse reasonable safety instructions. By entering the club, whether or not you are charged an entry fee you are deemed to read, accepted and be bound by these rules Where a customer is required to leave due to a rule breach, any entry fee paid will not be refunded. Where someone is part of a group or a couple, if one person breaches these rules and is required to leave the club, the others in the group or couple may also be required to leave without refund. This will depend on the nature, severity and circumstances of the rule breach, and them being allowed to remain is solely at the discretion of club staff/management.

11. Food, drink and general housekeeping

Please dispose of rubbish in the bins provided and leave social areas tidy.

Treat the venue's furniture, facilities and equipment with care.

Follow staff instructions regarding food, drinks and any areas where these are restricted. We do not sell food, however we do usually allow customers to bring in food and/or order takeaways to the club. Please speak to staff before ordering.

Report spills, breakages and other hazards promptly.

Do not bring prohibited substances or items into the venue.

Respect the comfort of other guests and help maintain a clean, welcoming environment.

Take care, the building is very old, the stairs are steep, there are also a number of small steps and level changes within each floor including up to the pool table, and out onto the balcony. The stairs down to the changing area and dungeon are extremely steep, curved and the rise and depth of each step is different. If you cannot manage these stairs staff can arrange for you to change in a playroom and secure your belongings.

12. A final word

Decadance is a place to socialise, explore, make connections and enjoy yourself at your own pace.

You never have to play, get naked or participate in anything you do not want to do. You are equally entitled to enjoy a purely social visit.

We ask you to look after yourself, respect other people and help us maintain an environment where everyone can feel welcome.

Be respectful. Communicate clearly. Obtain consent. Look after one another.

Enjoy Decadance.
